Participants Wanted
Phototherapy Study

Bridge of Allan Counselling enrolls 3 participants every second month of the calendar year, if you would like to sign up for a research study to further our understanding of the usefulness of incorporating photographs in counselling.

If you are in need of counselling and would like to experience a new approach that uses photographs as metaphors in therapy, then we would like you to contact us. Your participation is voluntary and free of charge. The only requirement is that you are in need of counselling and willing to fill in assessment forms in each session.

The purpose of this study is to measure the effects of using photographic metaphors in a brief therapy setting.

You would be required to attend 8 - 50-minute counselling sessions.

Digital devices are required such as a camera or phone or any device that can record images.

This study may be an interesting and rewarding personal journey for the participant, allowing them to find new ways of seeing themselves and others.
You may gain a deeper insight into your current difficulty which may help you to resolve it.

Risks are minimal as you are in need of counselling. You can withdraw from the study at any time.
